Welcome! The Virginia Lakes and Watersheds Association serves to conduct scientific and educational efforts to protect the quality and uses of Virginia Lakes and Watersheds. We are organized and operate as a corporation within Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. We invite you to explore our website to learn more about how we work to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the Commonwealth's natural watersheds.

Do you own or maintain a lake, pond, or reservoir on your property? Are you interested in preserving the water resources of the Commonwealth?  If so, you are the type of person we would like to consider membership in our association. As a member of the VLWA, you stand to receive a number of benefits, including the support of our current membership and access to an informative annual conference designed to share new innovations in water management. We invite you to learn more about joining the VLWA and applying online today.

VLWA hosts the annual Virginia Water Conference, which has been held in Richmond for the past several years. Each spring hundreds of lake and watershed managers and owners come together to discuss issues important to the Commonwealth's environmental health. The conference presents an excellent opportunity to meet with people in the pond management industry as well as aquatic biologists who specialize in related research. We hope you will join us in 2016 and submit a proposal for a panel or workshop. We also invite you to contact us with any questions about our mission, the conference, and membership.  See the FAQ on the left for contact information.
