Municipal Separate Storm Sewer (MS4) Program Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Audit Observations
MS4 audits often present local municipalities with a lot of questions. The goal of this presentation is to provide the audience with an understanding of what to expect before, during, and after one of these audits. GKY has recently had the opportunity to provide support to three Northern Virginia municipalities during their recent DEQ MS4 Audits. This presentation will provide insight into the following:

Alex Jesmer has over 7 years of environmental consulting experience. Alex started his career working in the wastewater industry providing wastewater collection system solutions for local municipalities and government entities around the country. Alex then moved on to work as a contractor for the DoD providing regulatory and compliance support for the Wastewater and Stormwater programs on Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. For the past three years, Alex has provided technical MS4 regulatory assistance to several Virginia MS4s, including permitting and regulatory support to ensure compliance with ever-changing MS4 regulations. Max Kuker has 25 years of environmental consulting experience in the application and enforcement of the CWA and NPDES regulations. Max started his career supporting various federal and state regulatory agencies. For the past nine years, Max has provided technical MS4 regulatory assistance to several Virginia MS4s, including permitting and regulations.
