The City of Virginia Beach is working hard to help the public better understand stormwater runoff and how stormwater runoff is managed.  The latest techniques include brochures created specifically for individual projects, project specific web pages and 1-minute YouTube Videos that explain how stormwater protection works.  Current YouTube topics include: How It Works – Stormwater Pump Stations In The Know Stormwater Management and Maintenance How It Works – Automated Tide Gates How It Works – Flood Model Visualization & Exposure Tool How It works – Windsor Woods Tide Gate

Michael W. Mundy, PE – Mike is a Stormwater Program Manager in the Stormwater Engineering Center Section of the City of Virginia Beach Public Works. He has worked 14 years in the private sector and 20 years in the public sector. He is a graduate of NC State University. Mike has helped VB Public Works manage multiple stormwater engineering improvement programs and currently is Program Manager over the Windsor Woods - Princess Anne Plaza – The Lakes Drainage Improvement program (approximate program value of $250M).
